When we rehearse?

We rehearse on Thursday evenings between 8–10pm (suggested arrival time is 7.45pm). We restart after our summer break on 18 September 2008. Our upcoming rehearsals, concerts and other local events are shown in the events calendar.

Where we rehearse?

We rehearse at Dunmore Primary School, Northcourt Rd, Abingdon, OX14 1NR. Parking is available on-site. A map is available here.

Who should join?

We currently have vacancies for brass instruments and also wecome enquiries from woodwind players. If you play to a reasonable standard (or can do when you're back in practice) and you'd like to join a friendly and supportive local band, please fill in the form below to contact us.

We welcome players of all wind-band instruments. At the moment we are actively looking for players of brass instruments including Trumpets, Cornets, French Horn, Trombones, Euphonium, Tuba and String Bass (upright/electric).

There are no auditions, but you need to be of a reasonable standard (ideally around grade 5 or above, although we welcome players wishing to get back into playing and improve their standard), good at sight-reading and adaptable to a variety of musical styles.

A modest subscription of about £3.00 per week is charged, with concessions applying. The first four rehearsals are free so you are welcome to try us out before deciding whether to join as a permanent member.
