What are we?
We are a concert band – wind orchestra – of woodwind, brass and percussion. We are a self-governing band, and enjoy ourselves whilst maintaining a good standard of play. Come and enjoy the music at our forthcoming events, or contact us to come along and play.
What music do we play?
We play music of all periods and styles, from Renaissance Italy to modern Broadway.
Who are we?
We are a mixture of ex-pros, semi-pros, amateurs and students, and we welcome players of any age.
What concerts do we give?
Since our foundation over thirty years ago, we have given more than 150 concerts, indoors and outdoors, in Abingdon and the surrounding area.
When do we rehearse?
We rehearse on Thursday evenings from 8–10pm at Dunmore School in Abingdon.

We currently have vacancies for brass instruments and also welcome enquiries from woodwind players. If you play to a reasonable standard (or can do when you're back in practice) and you'd like to join a friendly and supportive local band, please fill in the form on the Join Us page to contact us.

Abingdon Bands do the Proms
Join us for a programme of traditional favourites and more as we continue to celebrate our 30th Anniversary with a joint concert with Abingdon Town Band at the Guildhall, Abingdon at 7:30pm on Saturday October 13th. Doors and bar open at 7:00pm. Tickets at £8.00 available from Abingdon Information Centre, Old Abbey House, Abingdon, Frugal Food, 01235 520145, or on the door.
