What are we?
We are a concert band – wind orchestra – of woodwind, brass and percussion. We are a self-governing band, and enjoy ourselves whilst maintaining a good standard of play. Come and enjoy the music at our forthcoming events, or contact us to come along and play.
What music do we play?
We play music of all periods and styles, from Renaissance Italy to modern Broadway.
Who are we?
We are a mixture of ex-pros, semi-pros, amateurs and students, and we welcome players of any age.
What concerts do we give?
Since our foundation over thirty years ago, we have given more than 150 concerts, indoors and outdoors, in Abingdon and the surrounding area.
When do we rehearse?
We rehearse on Thursday evenings from 8–10pm at Dunmore School in Abingdon.

Abbey Sax Quartet at Cornerstone, Didcot
The Abbey Sax Quartet will be performing an outdoor concert at Cornerstone Arts Centre in Didcot on Saturday 31st July. Their set begins at 1pm and you don't need a ticket - just come along, listen and enjoy!
Summer Pops Concert
Next Concert: Saturday 12th June 2010 at 7:30pm, St Michael's Church, Park Road, Abingdon.
Forget the World Cup and join us for an alternative England vs USA fixture featuring music from composers from both sides of the pond including Artie Shaw and Andrew Lloyd Webber. With a Last Night of the Proms finale it promises to be a concert of two halves...

Winter/Spring 2010 Rehearsals & Concerts
Rehearsals following the Christmas break start on 14 January 2010. These will continue at Dunmore School on Northcourt Road, Abingdon from 8pm-10pm every Thursday during term time (see events calendar for further details). We are still looking for brass players so if you are interested please email play@abingdonconcertband.org.uk. The band will be rehearsing for our next concert to be held on 27 March 2010 at the Guildhall in Abingdon...
New Brass Players Wanted for 2010!
As at January 2010 we have vacancies for brass instruments and also welcome enquiries from woodwind players.
